Nahla Zakariya is an Environmental Researcher who has participated in several environmental management studies, including: Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIAs); Environmental and Social Management Frameworks (ESMFs) for coastal areas; Biodiversity Action Plans, and Solid Waste Management projects. Nahla is currently pursuing her M.Sc. on Microplastics and their impact on the environment. She studied environmental conservation and protection, with focus on coastal areas and marine environments, investigating different kinds of pollution that might arise from various sources, mitigation procedures, as well as biodiversity and ecosystems monitoring. Nahla also studied EIA and Environmental Management Systems and investigated hazardous waste from oil processing plants in her graduation project from the University of Suez.
