At Environics, we are dedicated in providing expert environmental consulting services to clients in various sectors. We are currently seeking highly motivated and experienced Specialists/Consultants in the fields of Biodiversity, Ecology and Wildlife Preservation to join our team on a full-time basis.
Requirements:
- Egyptian national.
- Sc. in Biology, Zoology, Botany, Marine Biology, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Sc. in a field relevant to Nature Conservation is preferable (Ecology, Natural Science, Conservation Biology or similar).
- A minimum of three years of experience in an environment-related field, with a focus on biodiversity and wildlife conservation.
- Experience in the preparation of biodiversity studies, including ecological baseline data collection and Biodiversity Impact Assessment.
- Experience in ecological field surveys is preferred.
- Technical and scientific report writing skills and experience.
- Good knowledge of Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) procedure.
- Familiar with the Egyptian environmental legislations.
- Knowledge and experience with international standards (such as IFC Performance Standard 6 and EBRD Performance Requirement 6) is a plus.
- Perfect Arabic and fluent English (provision of evidence is preferred). A third language is a plus.
- Teamwork capabilities and ability to operate under pressure.
Duties:
The Candidate is expected to undertake and/or participate as a team member in the following activities:
- Proposal writing for specific assignments.
- Assignment planning, implementation and reporting.
- Collection of primary and secondary data.
- Fieldwork, data collection and analysis, impact assessment and reporting for ecological studies and EIAs/ESIAs for projects in various sectors.
- Compiling, reviewing, discussing and editing outputs from external consultants and subcontractors.
Organizational Position:
- Professional title (Specialist, Consultant, Senior Consultant) will be determined based on experience and academic degrees.
- Reporting to Principal Consultant.
