- The Egyptian New and Renewable Energy Authority (NREA) has awarded a number of international investors the rights to build and operate PV plants on allotted pieces of land inside a PV power plant park (1740 MW of AC) in Benban, Aswan.
- In addition to being commissioned to conduct the ESIA studies required for more than ten PV plants within the park according to national and international regulations, Environics was also commissioned to carry out a flash flood hazard and surface water analysis study for the park.
- The study included topographical; morphological; geological; meteorological; hydrological, as well as flood plain analyses.
- Based on the results of the analyses, recommendation measures for best protection against flash flood hazards were presented.
