Amani Nadim has an extensive experience of over 20 years in the field of environmental management, with particular focus on: EIAs/ESIAs; due diligence and phase I and II site assessment investigations; hazard and risk analysis.  Chem. Nadim has managed and carried out numerous EIAs/ESIAs for various sectors including: industry, oil and gas, infrastructure and energy.   Chem. Nadim has in-depth knowledge of various industrial sectors and activities in Egypt, and has conducted a number of Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA) and consequence analysis studies for chemical, petrochemical and petroleum refining processes, having been trained in risk assessment and using SUPECHEMS software developed by ioMosaic Corporation, a leading provider of safety and risk management consulting services in the USA.

Chem. Nadim has specifically exceptional experience in waste management, particularly industrial and hazardous waste management.  She has contributed to the development of the national hazardous waste management system in cooperation with EEAA and the different concerned ministries, as well as draft policies and plans. She has also participated in the preparation and delivery of large number of training, awareness, and capacity building events for the different components of the hazardous waste management system.

Over the past 8 years, Chem. Nadim has added energy management to her areas of expertise, where she has managed and contributed to a number of studies, comprising: ESIA and environmental studies for over 15 photovoltaic plants in Hurghada, Zaafarana and Aswan, including the first plant of its kind in Egypt and a number of plants in the new planned PV park in Benban, Aswan; ESIA studies for wind farms in Ras Gharib; Investigating opportunities for Renewable Energy (RE) and Energy Efficiency (EE) at a touristic resort; Establishing a Waste to Energy (WTE) business line; Biomass scoping study for Egypt, among others.  She has received training in Energy Efficiency by the UNIDO, as well as attended a “Certified Energy Manager” course.  Chem. Nadim is a certified Environmental Consultant by EEAA in the fields of conducting and reviewing EIA studies, and management of hazardous substances and wastes.
