Dr. Heba Mahmoud Zaki is an Environmental Consultant with over 10 years of experience in chemistry, environment, sustainable development, and waste management. She has led and contributed to numerous Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIAs) across sectors including renewable energy, infrastructure, industry, and waste management, ensuring compliance with national and international standards. Her expertise covers Environmental and Social Due Diligence (ESDD), ESG monitoring, HSE compliance audits, risk assessments, and decarbonization of industrial supply chains.

She has strong experience in developing and implementing Environmental and Social Management Plans (ESMPs), Stakeholder Engagement Plans (SEPs), and ESMS frameworks, particularly for infrastructure, schools, and waste management projects. Dr. Zaki has collaborated with international organizations and donors such as USAID, UN Habitat, World Bank, EBRD, GIZ, and KfW, and has overseen large-scale waste management and circular economy projects, including policy development for plastic recycling and EPR systems.

She holds a PhD and Master’s in Organic Chemistry, as well as a Diploma in Environmental Engineering from AUC, and is currently Head of the Technical Component at the National Solid Waste Management Program (NSWMP).
