Dr. Zaki is an Environmental expert on all technical aspects relating to chemistry and the environment. She has published several papers on organic chemistry. She is known for her constructive cooperation in the environmental field with several international organizations such as the UN Habitat, UNDP, USAID and GIZ. She has over ten years of experience in the field of chemistry, environment, sustainable development and waste management.
She participated in the implementation of infrastructure projects relating to waste management, the mitigation of negative effects and applying quality standards for some of the existing industrial facilities. She was in charge of the preparation of the Environmental Management (EM) report for NGOs industrial & environmental activities (sorting and packaging services for agriculture crops and production of high-quality fertilizers (small projects), solid waste treatment and recycling, agriculture waste, ..…).
She has also overseen the preparation of environmental standards for waste management of several facilities in the Upper and East Delta regions. She worked with UN HABITAT to prepare an economic study on the best means and methodologies for the disposal of plastic waste in Alexandria Governorate and the establishment of factories for plastic waste recycling and treatment to produce different products. Her experience in the public and private sector has provided her with distinctive knowledge in this field Participation in environmental awareness, community communication plan to spread sustainable environmental thought in the waste sector. Ms. Zaki holds a Master’s and PhD degree in Organic Chemistry and has a Diploma in Environmental Engineering from the American University in Cairo (AUC). In addition, she is Head of the Technical Component at the National Solid Waste Management Program, and a valuable Environmental Expert at the USAID
