Tamer A.Hamid has over 20 years of experience in the Quality, Environment, Energy, Occupational Health & Safety fields. In particular, he is closely involved with all QHSE & Energy Management activities within Oil & Gas, Industrial Sectors, Service Providers, Governmental, and Institutional Organizations. He has accumulated experience of working more than 10 years in the Arab Gulf Countries-GCC (e.g. UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, etc.) in addition to Iraq & Kurdistan, in addition to over 10 years of experience working inside Egypt. Tamer is a Certified QHSE & Energy Management Trainer/Lead Auditor/Lead Tutor by a number of local and international QHSE Third Party (CAB-Conformity Assessment Bodies), as well as training firms (e.g. BV, SGS, EDS, OGS, and NQI).

He is a certified Technical Assessor working for the Egyptian Accreditation Council “EGAC” where he contributes in performing audits/assessment to Third Party CAB’s against the requirements of the ISO 17021 as well as relevant IAF Regulations. He has been involved in developing many QHSE and Energy Mgt systems in conformance with international standards; ISO 9001 QMS, ISO 14001 EMS, ISO 50001 EnMS and OHSAS 18001 OH&S. The implementation of these QHSE & Energy Management Systems is an excellent tool that demonstrates to organization’s interested parties & stakeholders that quality, environmental, health, energy & safety risks are being evaluated, managed and properly controlled.

His main areas of expertise include: Conducting risk assessment sessions and identifying HSE Risks through the implementation of ENVID & HAZID workshops; Design and planning for pollution prevention and waste management control measures; Lead third parties & internal QHSE-MS Audits against corporate and international codes/standards; Conducting EIA studies in conformance with international guidelines (e.g. World Bank); Assisting clients to identify, assess and manage environmental responsibilities in order to minimize their corresponding corporate risks during maximizing business opportunities; Providing  technical  training  and  Management  Systems  courses  for  QHSE  &  Energy  Management  within  Oil  &  Gas, Petrochemicals, Industrial Sectors, and Governmental & Institutional Organizations; Building up EnMS documentation and “Energy Review” studies based on the ISO 50001 Standard; Integrating HSE risk management elements throughout the implementation of a tailored EMS (in conformance with ISO 14001 std) along with other health and safety risks using OHSAS 18001; Site audits and/or inspection visits to the project location, on a routine basis, in order to ensure proper implementation of the previously designed mitigating and controlling measures; Monitoring  and  measurements  of  emissions  and  discharges  to  ensure  effectiveness  of  the  existing  mitigation measures and engineering controls (e.g. turbine stack emissions); Conducting energy management and energy review audits; Setting plans for implementation of short and long term opportunities for energy conservation, and Air emission control and GHG Accounting Methodologies.
