- UNIDO’s Industrial Energy Efficiency Programme (IEE) in 18 countries aims to remove key barriers to continuous energy efficiency improvement in industries and address the policy, economic, technical, environmental and social issues required to achieve this, through a range of technical assistance and investment activities.
- A number of services was provided within this assignment to achieve the following:
- Review existing policies, legal and regulatory frameworks at the country level, as well as relevant existing policy programmes.
- Present international energy policy best practices and experiences.
- Support local policy-making institutions and other project partners/stakeholders in designing and putting in place programmes that support the implementation of new, or existing, energy efficiency policies.
- Recommend and prepare policy tools and guidelines to support the implementation of programmes.
