- Among a number of environmental studies that Environics was commissioned to undertake for the projects at Zaafarana Solar Park was a flash flood hazard and surface water analysis study.
- The study covered the geology of the area; determined the morphological parameters affecting the floods and their maximum discharges; included an analysis of the amounts of rainfall for different return periods to determine the required hydrographs, and illustrated, through floodplain analysis, the potential flood depths at intersection locations.
- Based on the results, protection measures were recommended for the park.
