- BP was in the process of applying internal HSE guidelines, which were to be modified to be compatible with ISO14001 and OHSAS18001 standards.
- Environics was commissioned to adapt the system applied at Abu Qir Base at the time to requirements for ISO14001 and OHSAS18001 for future certification.
- The scope of the assignment included activities needed for certification for two main components: onshore activities of Abu Qir base, as well as marine component including off-shore transportation and drilling rig.
- The assignment included preparation of:
- Comprehensive gap analysis.
- Action plan.
- Management systems manuals.
- General framework for the bridging documents of the rig.
- Training/Awareness sessions.
- Audit reports.
