- An HSEMS was formulated and designed based on the following elements:
- Leadership and commitment.
- HSE policy.
- Organization and resources.
- Evaluation and risk assessment.
- Planning and procedures.
- Implementation and monitoring.
- Auditing and reviewing.
- Continual improvement.
- A manual was prepared to describe all elements and include the procedures needed to operate the system as per the requirements of ISO14001 & OHSAS18001.
- Primary Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) were developed to provide guidance to affiliated companies to prepare procedures. The SOPs addressed the most common environmental aspects and hazards.
