RWE Dea Egypt’s exploration activities in Dusuk Concession, Nile Delta, had proved that the Abu Madi formation has natural gas reserves worthy of development.
An extended drilling campaign in the Dusouq Concession had been launched in 2007 and had resulted in the development of eight natural gas wells, which were to be supplemented by nine additional wells.
The produced natural gas was to be gathered via a system of trunk lines and fed to a central gas treatment plant to achieve sales gas quality. It was then to supply the natural gas transmission grid beyond the boundaries of the Dusuk Concession.
Environics carried out the socio-economic study; hydrogeological study; ecological surveys; baseline air, and noise and soil studies required for this project.
Environics also conducted individual meetings with relevant stakeholders, and moderation of the public consultation.
