Air Dispersion Modeling for ARMA’s extension in the Soaps and Detergents Plant

Share:

Environics was commissioned to conduct an air dispersion modeling for the emissions resulting from the stacks of three existing plants, in addition to potential emissions from the proposed Sulphonation unit.

The dispersion modeling aimed at calculating the concentration of potential pollutants after operating the proposed Sulphonation unit, to compare them with the maximum limits for ambient air pollutants in industrial areas.

Moreover, it was applied to determine the maximum concentration of pollutants impacting areas of environmental sensitivity adjacent to the proposed location, as well as the extent of compliance with environmental laws and amendments.

Environics used Georgraphical Information System (GIS) maps as a tool to clarify the results, the impact of the different concentrations, and the extent of their dispersion in the project’s area and its vicinity.
