Scoped EIA for Bypass Dust Landfill by Arabian Cement Company (ACC) Plant, Suez-Katameya Road, Ain Sokhna
- The Arabian Cement Company (ACC) has been disposing of its plant’s bypass dust at a temporary landfill that it was authorized to use by Suez Governorate until an industrial waste landfill is established by the governorate. Since the governorate’s landfill project was postponed, ACC had to establish its own landfill for bypass dust. Environics was commissioned to carry out the EIA required for the new landfill.
- Environics visited the site of the proposed landfill and reviewed the relevant documents to develop the EIA that discussed: the proposed methods for handling, transporting and landfilling bypass dust; project alternatives; environmental impacts, and the Environmental Management and Monitoring Plan.
