The objective of the assignment was to assess the environmental compliance and potential environmental liabilities related with past or current operations at the site. The assessment was to be carried out for a facility that manufactures pre-stressed concrete products for civil engineering projects (sewage pipelines, metro beams, metro segments, etc.), in 10th of Ramadan.
The assessment consisted of interviews with site representatives, a site visit including: the main operation and storage areas, and review of relevant environmental documents provided by the site.
An assessment report was prepared encompassing: Site description and setting (topography, hydrology, geology, hydrogeology, natural hazards, drought risks, etc.), environmental compliance assessment and recommendations, as well as soil and groundwater potential risks and liabilities.
