- HBS International Egypt is in the process of carrying out seismic surveys for its concession areas at North Ghazalat and South Alamein. According to the Egyptian Law for Environment and its executive regulations, these studies require Category- B ESIA studies, which Environics was commissioned to carry out.
- The ESIA studies covered the following, for each project:
- Project location and its surroundings.
- Baseline environment, including the physical, biological & social environmental aspects.
- Description of all project phases and potential wastes and emissions.
- Assessment of environmental impacts and mitigation measures.
- Environmental Management Plan.
