EIA Studies for Hydrogen Peroxide Production and Fiberglass Tanks & Pipes Facility within Abu Rawash Complex of El Nasr Co. for Intermediate Chemicals (NCIC)

  • As part of the company’s expansions within Abu Rawash industrial complex, El Nasr Co. for Intermediate Chemicals (NCIC) was in the process of establishing a plant to produce 3 types of Hydrogen Peroxide (used on a large scale in industry), and commissioned Environics to prepare the Environmental Impact Assessment Study for the proposed project.
  • As part of the company’s expansions within Abu Rawash industrial complex, El Nasr Co. for Intermediate Chemicals (NCIC) was in the process of establishing a plant to produce 3 types of Hydrogen Peroxide (used on a large scale in industry), and commissioned Environics to prepare the Environmental Impact Assessment Study for the proposed project.
  • Environics assessed the different Environmental impacts during the project’s construction and operation phases, and prepared the study according to EIA requirements for category (C) projects.  A Public Consultation meeting was held to present and discuss EIA results with project stakeholders.
  • Moreover, NCIC commissioned Environics to prepare Form (B) for its current facility manufacturing Fiberglass Tanks and Pipes located within Abu Rawash Complex.
  • Form (B) was prepared according to the requirements of the Industrial Development Authority for reduced/low risk projects, which do not require a public consultation meeting.
  • Both the Full EIA & Form (B) encompassed: site description, industrial processes, inputs and outputs, waste management, assessment of potential impacts of project activities and mitigation measures, analysis of possible alternatives, as well as the environmental management and monitoring plan.
