Orascom Construction was planning to establish a cement export terminal in Damietta Port. The main components of the cement terminal were to be six cement storage silos each having an effective capacity of 3050 m3 (4000 tons).
Orascom commissioned Environics to prepare a Form B EIA for the project, according to the requirements of the Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency (EEAA).
Environics conducted document reviews and site investigations and analyses to prepare the Form B study, which discussed the environmental impacts of the project on air; water; soil; landscape; noise, and public and workers’ health and safety.
