- In the framework of the National Solid Waste Management Program (NSWMP), an initiative to upgrade the solid waste sector in Egypt, Environics was commissioned to participate in the preparation of the ESIAs for Solid Waste Master Planning Project in Kafr El Sheikh and Gharbia Governorates.
- For Kafr El Sheikh ESIA study, Environics prepared the following: project description, the legal and administrative framework, project alternatives, description of the existing environment and the socio-economic baseline, framework for the grievance mechanism as well as assessment of impacts and mitigation measures.
- For Gharbia ESIA study, Environics provided the following: description of existing environment (Biological & Physical), the socio-economic and social context as well as the Legal and administrative framework relevant to the project.
