The Spanish Egyptian Gas Company (SEGAS) operates an LNG facility in Damietta, Egypt.
In order to ensure environmental compliance with the requirements of the Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency (EEAA) and SEGAS, Environics was requested to implement the monitoring program devised by the company.
Environics conducted a monitoring program over one year. The program included sampling; chemical & biological analyses; processing & interpretation of results, and preparation of environmental monitoring reports.
The assignment comprised onshore and offshore monitoring rounds for: groundwater locations; liquid effluent from holding basin; potable water; seawater outfall (seawater & sediment), and loading jetty (seawater & sediment).
