- The Spanish Egyptian Gas Company (SEGAS) operates an LNG facility in Damietta, Egypt.
- In order to ensure environmental compliance with the requirements of the Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency (EEAA) and SEGAS, Environics was requested to implement the monitoring program devised by the company.
- Environics conducted a monitoring program over one year. The program included sampling; chemical & biological analyses; processing & interpretation of results, and preparation of environmental monitoring reports.
- The assignment comprised onshore and offshore monitoring rounds for: groundwater locations; liquid effluent from holding basin; potable water; seawater outfall (seawater & sediment), and loading jetty (seawater & sediment).
