Ezz Flat Steel Plant at the Industrial Zone of Sokhna had intended to manufacture steel billets, in addition to its main product; steel slabs. Accordingly, a new Continuous Casting Machine (CCM) was to be installed and be fed with the liquid steel from the ladle furnace to produce steel billets.
EFS commissioned Environics to prepare the EIA required for this project. According to the Egyptian regulations, this project required a “Form B” EIA. Environics carried out document reviews and site visits to prepare the EIA, which covered the construction and operation phases of the project.
