Arma Company had intended to reconstruct its vegetable oil production plant at the 10th of Ramadan Industrial Zone. The company commissioned Environics to carry out the EIA required for this project.
According to the Egyptian environmental laws and regulations, this project required a “Form C” EIA. The plant was to include an edible oil refining unit; utilities (boilers, workshop and storage areas); oil filling lines and production lines for blowing and injection of plastic bottles.
Environics carried out site visits and document reviews which covered: The project’s processes; environmental baseline description; assessment of environmental impacts and recommendation of mitigation measures; environmental management plan, and a summary of the public consultation with stakeholders.
