SCJ commissioned Environics to prepare a Scoped (B) EIA study for the extension (installation of an Ethanol Storage Tank) within the current site of SC Johnson Wax Company, during construction and operation phases.
The scope of work entailed: reviewing relevant documents, conducting site visit to SCJ facility, and preparing a mathematical modeling for the potential risks from storing the combustible Ethanol substance.
Environics prepared the study that included: scope and objectives of the study, relevant legal and administrative framework, project description, study of the baseline environment in the project area, analysis of project alternatives, assessment of potential environmental impacts and proper mitigation measures as well as an outline for the environmental management and monitoring plan.
