- BP had been awarded 4 exploration concessions in the offshore Egyptian Mediterranean, namely; North El-Max, North Tennin, Karawan (Block 8), and North El Tabya concessions.
- The project included undertaking 3D seismic survey for exploration of potential hydrocarbon reserves.
- Environics carried out the ESIA studies for this project, which aimed at mapping the potential hydrocarbon-bearing formations and the geologic structures that surround them at these locations, according to the requirements of both EEAA and BP.
