- Project locations spanned an area of 1,883 square Kms in South Ghazalat, Qattara Depression, Western Desert, and three adjacent areas North West, South East and South West Gharib, of a total of 1,358 Kms in the Eastern Desert.
- Baseline studies required for the ESIAs covered the physical, biological and socio-economic conditions for both projects.
- ESIA studies were conducted according to IFC requirements.
- EIA studies for the seismic acquisition were conducted according to the requirements of the Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency (EEAA).
