According to the Egyptian regulations, this project demanded a Form B EIA study, which covered the construction and operation phases, analyzed the environmental impacts, and introduced an environmental management plan.

Environics also produced the Environmental and Hazardous Materials and Wastes Registers for the facility, which included the processes and utilities; air emissions, workplace pollutants, and liquid and solid wastes; environmental management, and hazardous substances and wastes register.
