Water & Wastewater Co. in Sharkeya was planning to execute replacement and renovation works for the currently operating units within its water treatment plant in Zagazig.
Environics was commissioned to conduct an EIA for this project, which falls within Category B. The EIA described the project and its infrastructure, discussed the project alternatives and addressed the environmental laws and regulations relevant to the project.
The study assessed the environmental impacts, recommended appropriate mitigation measures, and developed the Environmental Management and Monitoring Plan, including institutional requirements and allocation of responsibilities.
