The Industrial and Financial Company, Kafr alZayat, Gharbiya, had intended replace its two production lines of SSP with one more environmentally compliant line, of the same capacity. The company commissioned Environics to prepare the EIA required for this project.
According to the Egyptian regulations, this project required a Form B EIA study. Environics conducted site visits and document reviews to prepare the study, which covered the construction and operation phases of the project.
The study included descriptions of the project’s location, environment, processes and utilities; analyzed its alternatives, impacts, and their mitigation measures; discussed industrial wastewater, its treatment and disposal, and proposed an environmental management and monitoring plan.
