- Zinc Misr Company owns a plant in the 4th Industrial Area, Badr City, which manufactures several products including Zinc Sulphate. The company was in the process of upgrading its Zinc Sulphate production line, which required a Scoped EIA (Form-B). Environics was commissioned to carry out the study.
- The EIA described the project, which entailed upgrading the Zinc Sulphate cooling tanks; presented the relevant legal framework; studied the baseline environment; investigated the project alternatives; assessed project impacts and recommended proper mitigation measures, as well as provided a framework for the Environmental Management and Monitoring Plan.
